Written over a period of almost a decade, in parallel with her other award winning recordings, Amor Aeternus: A Requiem For The Common Man had its World Premiere on July 21st, 2022 in the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, NYC, with chamber string orchestra, choir of 30 and Breyer at the piano. Of her new work Breyer says: “Amor is a musical anthology of our times composed within the context of the traditional Latin liturgy of the Requiem Mass. It portrays the inevitable transformation of a (largely) innocent global society and depicts the beauty, pain and grit of humanity throughout this turbulent last decade.” More details about Amor Aeternus are here.
