Written over a period of almost a decade, in parallel with her other award winning recordings, Amor Aeternus: A Requiem For The Common Man will have a Live Premiere on July 21st, 2022 in the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, NYC, with full string orchestra, choir of 30-40 and Breyer at the piano. Of her new work Breyer says: “Amor is a musical anthology of our times composed within the context of the traditional Latin liturgy of the Requiem Mass. It portrays the inevitable transformation of a (largely) innocent global society and depicts the beauty, pain and grit of humanity throughout this turbulent last decade.” More details about Amor Aeternus are here.
Prior to the premiere, Breyer will be making several appearances including a private performance/talk in TX in March and a listening/performance/talk event in her hometown of Frenchtown NJ, on April 3rd. The latter will be part of the opening season of the ArtYard, a new state of the art theater recently built to enrich the already artistic community of the beautiful river town. Heidi has never had the opportunity to give a public performance to her immediate townsfolk and finds it very fitting that some of her friends will be among the first to hear passages from Amor!
